The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is rich in culinary specialties.
The wines of the Côtes du Rhône are one of the most well-known products of the region. Red wines are usually made from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan. White wines are made from Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne and Grenache blanc.
Coming to Vernioz, you can also discover the Chartreuse, a green liqueur produced in Voiron, in Isère. It is made from an infusion of 130 plants and flowers.
And this, without forgetting the specialties of Lyon which is only 47km from the Bontemps campsite: the Rosette, the Lyon sausage made from pork and veal, not to mention the Lyonnaise Salad made of lardons, eggs, croutons and salad.
